Bush's FDA: Putting Profits Before Patients

"Chalk it up to one of those amazing coincidences. When a government advisory panel voted recently not to recommend taking three popular pain-killing drugs off the market, it turned out that 10 of the 33 participants had been consultants to the companies that manufactured the drugs. Purely by coincidence, we're sure, nine of the 10 saw eye-to-eye, even though a majority of the others saw it just the opposite on the two most controversial drugs."
